| Kutztown Fire & Rescue is excited to announce the arrival of a new-to-us Fire Safety Educational Trailer—a valuable addition to our public outreach and fire prevention efforts. While not brand new, this gently used trailer is new to our department and represents a major step forward in how we connect with our community to teach life-saving safety lessons. Bringing Fire Safety to You A Hands-On Experience for All Ages A mock kitchen and two bedrooms with hidden hazards for people to spot and learn from. Two heated door props to demonstrate the importance of checking for heat before opening a door in a fire. A smoke simulation system that shows how quickly smoke can fill a room—and how to safely crawl low to escape. Working smoke alarms, emergency lighting, and escape ladders to teach quick response in emergencies. Children, teens, and adults all benefit from tailored safety messaging, and firefighters will walk participants through each step, sharing practical tips and real-world knowledge. Building Stronger Community Connections School safety demonstrations Scout troop activities Community block parties Senior citizen outreach events Business safety days Request the Trailer for Your Event We'll work with you to plan a visit that’s engaging, informative, and fun for your audience. Space is limited, so early requests are recommended. Kutztown Fire & Rescue remains committed to prevention through education. Our “new-to-us” fire safety trailer might have a few miles on it—but it’s full of potential to make a big difference in our community.
